There is nothing quite like midsummer in the countryside—especially when a one-acre sea of bright yellow sunflowers is turning its faces toward the sun. We have been watching these fields grow for weeks, and the time has finally come to open our gates to the community!

Next week, we are hosting our very first Weekday U-Pick Days on Tuesday and Thursday evening (July 21 & 22). We are specifically opening during the cooler evening hours so you can skip the midday July heat and enjoy the absolute best lighting for strolling and photography.

Event Highlights & Details

To ensure everyone has plenty of space to enjoy the field, we are managing entries by the carload. Bring a vehicle full of your favorite people, explore the blooms, and take a piece of the farm home with you.

  • Dates: Next Tuesday and Thursday
  • Hours: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM both days
  • Admission & Inclusions: $20 flat rate per vehicle at the gate. This fully covers your entry and includes 12 fresh-cut sunflower stems. Extra stems can be harvested for $2 each.

Why just weekday evenings? We are a small, mom and daughter duo running this entire patch! By focusing on two prime evening windows, we can keep the flowers fresh, prevent the field from becoming overcrowded, and give you the ultimate golden hour backdrop.

How to Prepare for Your Visit

To make your U-Pick experience as smooth as possible, keep these guidelines in mind:

  1. Tools of the Trade: We do not provide cutting tools, so please tuck a reliable pair of garden clippers or heavy-duty kitchen shears into your bag. When cutting, remember to leave 12 to 18 inches of stem so your flowers display beautifully in vases at home.
  2. Keep ‘Em Hydrated: Sunflowers drink a lot of water! Bring a clean plastic bucket or a large container filled with a bit of water to keep your stems drinking immediately after they are cut.
  3. Keep it Safe & Cozy: Ground in a sunflower field can be uneven and dusty. Ditch the sandals for sturdy sneakers or boots. Don’t forget the bug spray and sunscreen!
  4. Directions & Parking: Follow the signs as you pull up to 37736 Sunset Drive. Our gatekeeper will meet you right at your vehicle window to collect admission (we accept Cash or Venmo) and guide you to your parking space.

We cannot wait to welcome you to our little slice of paradise next week. Help us spread the word, and let’s make some beautiful summer memories together!

Our Pet Policy

We love animals (we have quite a few of our own!), but for the safety and comfort of our resident livestock, we maintain a strict “no outside pets” policy. To keep our farm family stress-free and our flower rows pristine, please leave your furry friends tucked away safely at home. We appreciate your understanding in helping us keep our farm a peaceful sanctuary for our resident animals!

Photography Guidelines

We encourage you to capture the beauty of the season! If you are planning to take photos during your visit:

Respect the Bloom: Please stay on the designated grass paths at all times. To protect our flowers and keep the walk flowing for everyone, large props, furniture, and complex lighting setups are not permitted during this u-pick event.

Casual & Hobbyist Photography: Please feel free to snap as many photos as you’d like. We love to see them! Tag us at @whitestagflowerfarm and consider leaving us a Google Review with your favorite shot.

Professional Photographers: You are welcome to bring a photographer for a casual session! In lieu of a session fee, we simply ask that the photographer credits/tags our farm in all professional posts. All vehicles will be charged the same $20 u-pick fee.
