The Marshmallow Stage Every stem is harvested at the precise “marshmallow stage.” This ensures the bloom is protected during transport and gives the designer full control over the opening process.
Dry-Storage Capability Planning for a July wedding? Our peonies are harvested specifically for long-term dry cold storage. When kept dry in a professional floral cooler (34–38°F), our stems can be stored for 4–6 weeks. This allows you to offer local Oconomowoc peonies to your clients well after the fields have finished their bloom.
