There is a specific kind of magic that happens in Wisconsin during the first few weeks of June. After the long wait of spring, the peony bushes on our farm finally begin to grow heavy with buds, signaling the start of the most beautiful—and fleeting—season of the year.

The Anticipation: Early June Blooms

Peonies are famously known as “nature’s fireworks.” They arrive with a bang and don’t stay long. On our farm here in Oconomowoc, our peonies typically bloom in early June. Because their timing is dictated entirely by the Wisconsin sunshine and spring rains, we watch the fields daily as those “golf ball” buds prepare to burst into layers of silk petals.

Flower Details:

• Colors: We grow a stunning range from crisp Whites and soft Pinks to deep, vibrant Reds.
• Price: $4.00 per stem.
• Quality: Unlike grocery store flowers that are shipped in boxes, our peonies are cut fresh each morning, ensuring maximum vase life and larger, healthier blooms.

How to Buy

To keep things simple and ensure we only provide the highest quality flowers, we aren’t doing traditional pre-sales this year. We want you to have the freshest flowers possible exactly when they are at their peak.

We will be operating on a first-come, first-served basis for local pickup right here at the farm. This allows us to cut the flowers at the perfect “marshmallow stage” (where the bud is soft but not yet open), ensuring they stay beautiful for your specific event.
