On arguably the nicest day in October we, the White Stag Flower Farm team (Lisa and Rebekah), planted over 4,000 tulips bulbs. It was 77* with a light breeze! Gorgeous.

For cut flower production of Tulips you dig a trench about 3 ft wide and 6″ deep. We cheated a bit and mom used the Bobcat to push the dirt to one side. She’s going pro!

Then the manual labor begins, placing each bulb pointy side up in “egg carton spacing.”

We plan to offer a spring bouquet subscription which will include 4 tulip bouquets for pick up at the farm. They should typically bloom in April, weather dependent of course! Look for our tulip sales page soon if you are interested.
